FROM MONK HESYCHIOUS (ΜΟΝΑΧΟΣ
ΗΣΥΧΙΟΣ)
Turks in Asia Minor,
the occupied Byzantine Motherland of the Hellenes (temporarily known
as Turkey), as well as on the illegally Turkish occupied part of
Cyprus remind me of the Biblical Parable of the Wicket Husbandmen, in
which an Estate owner went away letting out his vineyard to his
workers (the wicked husbandmen). Wanting to keep the Estate solely to
themselves, the husbandmen killed all the Ambassadors (Prophets) sent
by the owner in order to bring Him back some of His grapes (the fruit
of the Estate). Then, the owner sent out his own Son and legal heir
to the Estate. But, the wicked husbandmen realised He was the
rightful owner of the Estate and killed him. Of course, in the end
the wicked husbandmen got what they deserved….
